Weight Management Medicines — OZEMPIC®, MOUNJARO®, WEGOVY®, and ZEPBOUND™ — are revolutionizing the way patients achieve health and wellness today.
Dr. Kristy Hamilton’s Semaglutide Weight Management Program is designed to achieve weight loss within a short time-frame. This class of GLP-1 Agonists—Semaglutide (OZEMPIC®, WEGOVY®) and Tirzepatide (MOUNJARO®, ZEPBOUND™)—which work in similar ways to reduce the appetite, have revolutionized medical weight management.
Dr. Hamilton’s program features once-weekly self-injections of Semaglutide, an effective weight-loss medication that can cause:
- significant weight loss
- improved blood pressure
- improved blood sugar
- improved cholesterol
Semaglutide works by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone (which is released in the gut in response to eating). Targeting the part of the brain that regulates appetite and food intake, it creates a feeling of satiety that curbs your appetite and signals you to feel full. Simultaneously, the medication slows the exit of food from the stomach, allowing patients to feel full for longer periods of time.
Used in conjunction with resistance-based exercise and a healthy diet, Semaglutide can produce significant weight loss to optimize your health.
Semaglutide also provides a powerful stepping stone to reach your optimal BMI prior to undergoing surgery with Dr. Hamilton in order to achieve ideal aesthetic outcomes.
Dr. Hamilton will first review your lab work to check your health. Once she determines that you are a good candidate, you may begin the program. To enhance your weight-loss results, diet and exercise information—plus instructions on how to use and inject the medication—will be provided to you.
Dr. Hamilton’s Semaglutide Weight Management Program begins with Phase 1 for a period of 10 weeks. Dr. Hamilton will customize your weekly dose, according to your anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Patients inject Semaglutide once a week, on the same day every week. After completion of Phase 1, patients may elect to continue with subsequent phases under Dr. Hamilton’s care.
Semaglutide must be refrigerated. For Dr. Hamilton’s out-of-town patients, refrigerated shipping to your home is available.
Dr. Hamilton and her team look forward to taking care of you on your new, exciting wellness journey!
